    Question Male betta or Female???????

    I am getting a betta soon and I was wondering if I sould get a male of female betta. Should I get a male or a female??????????? you decide.....

    10g - Planted, a betta, 3 baby rainbows, and 3 high fin cory cats

    29g - Angelfish, 2 ottos, 4 cory cats, 6 cardinal tetras, 1 snail, 2 rainbows, and 4 gold tetras

    46g(hex) - 1 African Ciclids

    50g - 2 snake skin gouramies, 2 black neon tetras, 4 blue tetras, 3 blood fin tetras, 5 serpae tetras,2 other tetras I don't know the name of, 3 black skirt tetras, and 3 cory cats

    2.5g(hex) - Planted, no fish

    AABatteries is my brother

    I agree with Fishalicious. Your 10g is fully stocked. Also the 1g is too small for a betta.

    50G Tank - Kyathit Danios, Zebra Danio, Swordtails, Silver Hatchetfish, Platy, Gold Barbs, Cherry Barbs, Bolivian Rams, Apisto, Zebra Loaches.
    20G 'Nano Fish' Tank - Pygmy Rasboras, Lampeyes, Sparkling Gouramis, CPD, Bronze Corydoras, Cherry Shrimp
    Wanted: More CPD's and Loaches.

    no, its not going in the 10g, but i heard that people keep betta in like 1/2 gallon bowls so wouldn't it be fine to keep it in the 1 gallon?

    Bettas are active fish and should not be kept in anything smaller than 5 gallons (20 litres). If kept in anything smaller they will be lethargic and sit at the bottom the whole time. You'll enjoy your fish more if you give it room to move.

    Also, a 20 litre tank is more stable than smaller tanks.

    I have a 5g tank but i would need to buy a filter, gravel, a hood, and some plants. It would be a little expensive but all try it.
