    Default Top Fin Aquarium Salt

I was wondering people's input on Top Fins aquarium salt? Has anyone used it and if so, has it been successful, or just a waste of money? I posted in another thread telling why I am asking opinions on some products.

    Kayla,
Why are you interested in the aquarium salt? Your Betta hails from very soft, acidic swampy waters in nature, and there's no salt of any kind there. Thus, Bettas tolerate salt treatments very poorly.

Are you asking about aquarium salt in general or specifically the Top Fin brand? If it's about the brand, aquarium salt is aquarium salt.

Salt really isn't needed under your circumstances. Mainly its just good for curing certain diseases. You could save some money by only using it to treat fish.
Stock the tank you have, not the tank you plan to have. Always have and use patience.

It's always been good for me to have some on hand. It's helped cure some of the diseases my fish have had and it works good for when I add new fish and change the water. It has helped me keep off some diseases that my fish could have got. I know it's not necessary, but it seems to help me better than any medication I have used. I use the salt for conditioning also. I was just asking input, not if I should use salt..
