Horrible experience at the fair
I got back from the Bloomsburg Pa. fair about an hour ago with my 5 yr. old daughter, the fair is I believe the oldest fair in the country still going starting in 1855. Well I help our church booth at the fair passing out Christian tracts and after doing that today we were going home for the night. My daughter and I stopped at a game where they had wall aquariums and just for maybe at the most 30 seconds I watched the game, I turned around and Gabrielle was gone. It didn't take long before I was screeming her name and running around trying to find her, eventually I got smart and went to one of the exits and said I lost my 5 yr. old daughter, immediately they called security and let them know, of course I didn't hang around I went searching for her. I looked for about 10 min. which seemed like an hour with no avail, I then figured I'll call my wife and have her call our Pastor and have them to start praying and see if someone at the booth would come and help me find my daughter. After reaching the exit where I had informed them of Gabrielle being missing, I was going to ask to use a phone when the lady asked me if my name was RANDY, I said yes---she then asked me what my daughters name was and I told her, she said that the security gaurds had her and she was O.K. After finding her I asked them how they found her, they said that she had come up to them since they looked like cops and my daughter said she couldn't find her daddy and was lost, Gabrielle said she was sorry for getting lost and I almost lost it knowing it wasn't her fault and of course I let her know. I'm here to say GOD is awesome and mighty and today he proved it by protecting my little girl even when I wasn't watching her like I should. The thought that run through you head at times like that are horrible and honestly if someone wanted to kidnap a child this would be a perfect place to grab a child. First off my child knew enough to go tell someone at just 5 yr. old that she was lost which she has done one other time at Walmart, we are very proud of her, Second Jesus answers prays and he watches over his little ones, THANK GOD for that. It's sad it took something like this for me to realize that it can only take just a few seconds for your child to be gone and possibly forever, what a horrible feeling. As a parent I want to just give parents some advise which most of you already may know but coming from someone who just experienced it tonight PLEASE when you are in a large croud DO NOT turn away without knowing where your kids are, and for me I trust my child but at a place like a fair I trust no one else but me or my wife with my child, children are precious and for me this was a wake up call.

I'd say the security quards were pretty awesome as well as your daughter knowing enough to go to them for help.
