  1. Default Help - Silver molly dying

My silver mollies looks sick, he always sits at the bottom and his belly is swelling everyday and looks like it may burst.

What is this disease and how can I cure it

The same symptoms also happened to one of my Gourami's and 2 of Zebras.

    Please help

  2. Default Swollen Belly - Molly

To me there are a few things that seem likely. The first is that the fish is pregnant.

If it is not pregnant I would consider Dropsy. Dropsy typically shows itself with a swollen body and scales sticking out, kind of looking like a pinecone.

If you are feeding your fish strictly flake food they could be taking in too much air when they are feeding. This is not likely, but possible.

Test your water and make sure ammonia and nitrites are zero and nitrates are below 20 ppm. After the water conditions are right try reducing the amount you are feeding your fish and consider some live food.

Along with what rocaquarium said, constipation is also a possibility.

You could try feeding some de-shelled cooked peas as these act as a laxative. If it is constipation it would help and if not wouldn't do any harm. Just be sure to remove any uneaten peas so they don't rot.
