I actually was thinking of getting a cat then thought.......nawwww......I have open top tanks and don't know as I should ask for problems. He sure is having fun watching them, tho.

my turtle tank is open topped and they dont bother them either, they'll sometimes sit there and watch but thats about it..even when i moving things around like today, i take the top off and they dont even acknowledge...although one time pixie decided she was thirsty, and instead of jumping down and walking about 5 feet to her water bowl, she decided to drink turtle water(EWW!)so she was half way in standing on their island in the middle & i happened to walk around the corner and when she saw me, she musta thought she was in trouble and went to jump out but slipped and fell in!!the most hilarious thing ive ever seen...needless to say she now sticks with the water bowl...

This is another instance where you have to wonder what is going through the mind of the fish....
