wheres his mouth?

ive had this coral for a year, originally each head was the size of a gumball, now there almost as big as a baseball. they were attached at the stem originally but must have split at some time. i remember buying the coral as some kind of toadstool, but it doesnt look like a regular toadstool so i just call it a fuzzy toadstool. one head has a hole in the middle that looks like a mouth, but the other doesnt. is one missing a mouth? the one on the left has one, the one on the right doesnt. i target feed phyto and i dont want to squirt any in the one if it isnt a mouth

theyre no longer attached, theyre 2 completely different heads now, just attached to the same rock

:O I see, didn't know that was a rock...I thought it was part of them, and they were both connected by it. Hmm, I know very little about these invertebrates...that was the only explanation I could think of for one of them having no mouth :\ Good luck.

Your coral there has many 'mouths' (one at the center of each of those tiny polyps).

Yea, toadstools don't have one big mouth, each polyp is a mouth like most leather and soft corals!

so the pit in the center of the one is damage or something?

Just a morph on it or past injury.

Why are you target feeding with phyto? My understanding was that most corals don't consume phyto, only zooplankton. Phyto can feed your pods and the pods can be consumed by corals, but most don't use phyto directly.
