Corys Not Eating??
I just got corys about 4 days ago and it doesn't seem like they're eating. I got them Aqueon Bottom Feeder Tablets because I figured they would eat them. I broke the tablet in half figuring they wouldn't eat too much but they didn't seem to come out to eat it at all. In fact, after the other fish are done eating their food, they go for the little tablet when the corys don't seem to at all. Am I doing something wrong?

I've noticed our cories will eat about anything. Usually they eat the left over tropical sinking pellets i feed our angel fish and i drop a few sinking algae wafers in when i turn the lights out.

Do you see them actually eat though? I never see them really eat any flakes off the bottom before the others get it and they don't seem to eat these tablets...hmmm....

They go crazy for it. And the angel fish and betta never touch the sinking algae tablets so it has to be the cories eating them. Cories are scavengers and do a good job at eating left over food and things that you can't see. I've even seen mine eating algae off of fake plants. Also, they are nocturnal so they may be eating after lights out also.

Well...I guess I'll be able to tell if they all starve to death...but I think there should be enough for them.

How many cories do you have? They like to be in groups of 6 or more?

I didn't want to overload my tank with six or anything, I have three but I had four...one died a few days into getting them...

Thanks...I'm sure they eat sometime...just probably when I'm not looking. I plan to get a few more soon too.

I've noticed they actually help you tank as far as cleaning it up because they eat all of the leftovers. The more the better.
