  1. Default GBR pairing questions?

well im finally back to school and that means i can now get back to AC! ive been gone so long it feels good to be back. well this summer while i have been at home i bought a new tank. its a 15 gallon and i have started to stock it. i currently have 8 spotted rasboras "Boraras maculatus" 2 otto's and 3 clams. there are plenty of plants, rocks and wood in there too.

this past Friday i purchased 4 juvenile German Blue Rams form a LFS who breeds them there self. there parents are F1's from Germany and once there stress colors fade away a little bit ill get some pictures up here. i plan on breeding them. all of my water parameters are right were the LFS owner breeds theres.

How do i know when they pair up? i know its only been two days but im anxious. all 4 are about 1.25" and i have 2males and 2 females. once i gt a pair i will remove the other two and put them into another 15 gal and see if they will also pair up. if not the owner of the LFS will buy back the two that don't pair up. i just want to make sure i get it right so that the pair doesnt hurt the other two.

    Any pointers would be appreciated!

  2. Default

It will be obvious when they pair. They will chase the other rams away and keep together.

  3. #3

    Default

Yip..they will pretty much stick together all the time and swim together...then maybe even pick a corner to call 'their own' and chase all other fish that venture into that area
