Snail Control

Looking for fish for snail control? If you have a tank of South American fish and have room for a few quiet, gentle key keyholes, aequidens maroni, then get some of these. Someone had posted here that they eat snails, but I had never seen mine eat any before. I had a near snail infestation a few months ago, but had noticed that the snail community had just about disappeared overnight after I got my keyholes.

I found some larger snails in my nano, scooped them out, and dumped six of them in the main tank to see what would happen. Lo and behold, with 3 minutes they were fish food

I am also constantly hoovering up empty snail shells everytime I clean the tank with the Keyholes.... they don't seem to touch MTS or larger snails though...
