Is this worth it?
Saw this on craigslist and was wondering if you thought this was worth it? I currently have the tanks in my signature. Here is a picture of what this guy is selling for $30 as well as a short description.

10 gallon fish tank, hood with light, fish food, cleaning equipment, filter + extra cartridges, plus fully submergible tank heater – used for about 2 months. $30.0020g - 2 pineapple swordtail, 3 neon tetras, 1 guppy, 1 female betta, and 3 corys

Id go over and check for scratches and cracks, also ask if you can fill it up with water before buying it, shouldnt be a problem if the tank is in good condition.
But if you arent satisfied with this guy, you can always wait a bit. 10g tanks are often given away or sold for abbout 15 bucks where i live. You could ask a lfs (not chain stores) for used 10g tanks, theyl sometimes make you a deal.

I'd hit freecycle first I have seen better deals on craiglist than that you just have to watch and be ready to move. I have seen 55 an biger for less that 100 with stands... When people get desperate they dump tanks cheap. Right now there is a gal giving away 2 60+ tanks on seattle craiglist if you go get them.

I would say not I'm in a rural area and all I did was sign up for the 4 closest counties and I'm sitting on 13 tanks in under 8 days...

I'd get it! But I would wonder why he won't give out much further info...

It seems like he is really busy...he is selling everything he owns on craigslist.

Going over to take a look and check for leaks is good advice. Why not go over and check it out? You don't *have to* get it if you don't want to.
Also, are there any local churches that have rummage sales? I've gotten 2 small tanks that way for less than $5 or so total! (And it included gravel and bottles of water conditioner, stress coat, etc.)
