Can someone tell me what this is!?!
I have had him/her for a little over a year. When I got "wolfgang" he was about 2.5" long stayed close to the bottom and liked to hide in the sand. Now it is over 10" long and looks like a log. I found it at a lame petstore which has since gone out of business. It was labeled a "wolf fish" but any searches that I came up with did not look anything like it. I was at the Aquarium in Chicago a couple weeks ago and they had a Wolf Fish and it was a saltwater fish. Not my fish.
I have no idea but this thing is vicious. It's a total ambush hunter and so fast that you hardly see it strike. I just want to know what species this is. Wolf Fish doesn't cut it for me.

Its hard to tel the description is rather vague and the picture doesn't resemble him. The one in the picture is shiny and scaly with totally different eyes. THis is what I mean, its not a wolf fish like that....driving me crazy

He ambushes and pretends to be a log. He looks upside down at first glance as well. awesome fish.
