Mor than 1 type of Java Moss?
I got some with my shrimp from Algenco. I love it, but it grows so slow. I always wanted more... Today I found some at lfs and it looks different.
The original is thin and light green. The new stuff looks thicker and very dark green.
Is there a reason why or might it just be habitat?

There are several different species of moss, and like with fish, common names aren't always accurate. However, a single species may look different in color and density depending on the amount of light, CO2, nutrients, etc. it received when growing.

ditto. they react differently in different chemistry. At high lighting they turn Bright green and gets darker the lesser they receive the lights.
