Go back to your top picture and see those tiny dots on that one Labs fin?

Two of my platies now have those same tiny dots. What are those? I thought it was the beginning of fungus and put them in a medicated tank but of course, it is not going away. Is it just a marking of some kind?

Hey guy...........Merry HO HO to you and yours.

I think those are just speckles. Are you talking about the orange fish in the top picture or the perlmutts in the second picture? If you are talking a the perlmutts then they are just speckles. I'm going to have to look again at my zebras to make sure it's nothing serious. Thanks hobbs, now I'm paranoid! lol

Anal fin spots are egg spots sometimes used to sex them, depending on who you talk to.

LOL Don't go wiggin' out on me now. Didn't mean ta scare ya!

I was talking about the Labs in the first picture. I have four platies and two have just developed those odd spots. It's not "on" the tail but more like "in" the tail. I am the paranoid one as it took me about 2 seconds to toss them in medication. LOL Of course the spots are still there. :)
