  1. Default Sick Golden dojo loach

Hi, I'm new to the forums, obviously :)
So, I have a Golden Dojo loach. For the past week it's been lethargic, for a while it just hung around at the bottom of the tank. I figured it was sick so I did a 75% water change and checked for ammonia, everything was fine. It's been 3 days now and my loach has been floating at the top of the tank. It's gills are really red and it has an air bubble where he deficates. Anyone know what is wrong with him? Is it some kind of disease?Sorry I sound so new to this, I'm just really scared for my loach :(

Is there a good amount of aeration in the tank? If the parameters were all okay but the gills are that inflamed i wonder i maybe there is not enough oxygen. Try adding an air stone (very light at first to make sure you dont scare him to death with a totally fast current out of nowhere) and see if there is any improvement. That's my only guess though, hopefully somebody else with more experience can chime in...
