    Talking Another stocking thread

Ok, Sorry, I will be purchasing a 75 gallon in the very near future. I had wanted to make it either a South american tank, or a mbuna tank.

The south american tank originally I had wanted to include
    1 Oscar
    1 Jack dempsey

I had asked the advice of another member and he thought it may be too crowded, and suggested I replace the JD with a firemouth cichlid.

So the other stocking would be

    1 Oscar
    1 Firemouth

The only problem with this is that I thought that firemouths liked to be in schools so.

Now for the Mbuna tank I would include

    Two rusty Cichlids
    One electric Yellow
    One Electric blue

So I need opinions please, sorry to waste any time

    Mike

I wouldnt get 3 Jd's... Id get 2 oscars and a pleco like a bristlenose, or 1 oscar, 1 severum, and 1 firemouth and a small pleco. Personally i say go with 1 oscar 1 severum and 1 firemouth.

Dude, you could easily fit 5 to 7 times that many fish in a 75 gallon and with mbuna it would be better to stock it a bit extra than under. Throw in a couple dozen pounds of lava or lace rock and you've got yourself a nice mbuna tank.

Personally, I'd go for 8 electric yellows, 8 rusties and drop the electric blue since if they are what I think they are (S. fryeri) then they are really aggressive and will beat down your more peaceful electric yellows and rusty cichlids.

As for the SA/CA I would definitely go with a JD, mine (Jacko, how original :P) was a wonderful fish. I love their personality, a fair bit more aggressive than convicts or firemouths.

    Maybe:
    1 Oscar
    5 SD
    1 pleco

The pleco will get too big for the tank eventually and should be fairly big before introduced with the oscar.
