Skip on the prizim, they are garbage. You are going to have to realize that skimmers are not about looks, they are about funcitonality. If you want something that works well then look into either the BackPac skimmers of the HOB versions of the Octopus skimmers.

How about a Deltec MCE 300 or a MCE 600? Very good quality skimmers

I use the MCE 300 on my 55g

I agree, don't skimp on the skimmer. Leave the Jebo on the shelf. I've heard a lot of bad things about them.

While im saving for a good one I bought the Red Sea Prizm for 25 bucks. Figured it could atleast help out untill I get 100 bucks to get a nice one. I guess im gonna have to set up a sump tank because i dont want to see it.

Not a bad buy for $25 bucks to get you started. You'll defnitely wanna upgrade though later on. The Prizm is good for you to learn on. You'll defnitely be able to see the differnce in things once you upgrade. Check into the Octopus line, I love mine and I get good dark skimmate often. And I have a very low bio-load at the moment as the tank is barely 2 months old and doesn't have much in it.

Ok so question about the skimmer. Since my tank is only a couple weeks old should I turn it off? I was thinking that maybe I should have a little crap floating around to help feed the corals? Any thoughts?

Yes, leave it on. The only time my skimmer gets turned off is when I feed my corals Phytoplankton, and even then it only gets turned off for about half an hour.
