  1. Default 2 days in the tank and already flowering

    My frogbit came in and was placed in the tank Friday. It's now sunday and about 5 or 6 of the plants have already put out a flower.



    And my algae filled tank :(

    Never has since i've had it but it was used before. The picture is just taken during the day in weird lighting.

    I don't think so. Lily pads do float on the surface but i believe they are actually rooted in the ground giving them the ability to over winter in some cold states.

    These just float with their roots exposed but have the same look as a tiny lily pad.

    So I guess you don't have a hood on the tank, then, or do you?

    Just give them a week and they will be covering the whole surface of the tank

    Your tank doesn't look like it has much algae? It looks good from here
