2 days in the tank and already flowering
My frogbit came in and was placed in the tank Friday. It's now sunday and about 5 or 6 of the plants have already put out a flower.

And my algae filled tank :(

I don't think so. Lily pads do float on the surface but i believe they are actually rooted in the ground giving them the ability to over winter in some cold states.
These just float with their roots exposed but have the same look as a tiny lily pad.

So I guess you don't have a hood on the tank, then, or do you?
