I don't know the proper way to do it, but I usually just put the frozen cube in a small cup of warm water until it thaws and then dump it in the tank.
I've seen some throw the frozen cube in the tank and watch the fish nibble on it.
I've heard of people sticking the cube in the microwave, but I've never tried it and am not sure I will...LOL...
My fish love them as a treat.-- nw

With our dwarf puffers, we just put a little bit of tank water into a glass with the amount of bloodworms we want to feed and give it a good swirl around until the bloodworms thaw out. I figure I wouldn't like eating frozen food, so I'd rather not have our puffers trying to eat frozen food either. LOL

I just use a Straight Edge Razor and cut the cube in half then cut the half into twos and then put the one half in wait for them to eat it all then put the other half in just so none gets wasted I dont thaw them out the fish nibble on it and then the water Thaws the cube

I use freeze dried bloodworms. Are frozen bloodworms better? More nutritious?

I actually just pop the cubes in. My 45 gallon is up to 4 cubes a feeding now. They thaw really quick on the water and the fish love it. My large GT (Ike) can gulp a whole cube now.
Not sure if this is the "proper" way but they eat.--------------------------------------------
