Do I have a cycle?
Ok, so I've been following the fishless cycle article, and now I can't find it so I'm trying to make sure I have a completed cycle before I start putting fish in the tank.
I have a 10 gallon, been doing the cycling thing for about 4 weeks, for the last two I've had ammonia disappearing. And for most of that time, had a pretty high nitrite level.
Today I checked, and nitrites are almost at zero. The ammonia is still getting eaten, if I remember right that means the cycle is done and I can put in fish. Is that right, or is there some further step?
Oh and another question, what do I do to get my tank ready now that it's probably cycled? I know I should do a 50% water change, are there chemicals I should put in there? I was planning on getting some stuff to remove the chlorine/chlorides but past that I wasn't going to do anything.
Oh and a further question if anyone's still reading this far :) I'm probably planning on putting in cory cats and dwarf gourami's is one of those species hardier so that I should put them in before the other?
Thanks everyone.

After adding a bit of ammonia, if you have 0 ammonia and 0 nitrites within 24 hours, you have a cycled tank. Large water change to bring the nitrates down and you are ready to add some fish. Not too many at once. A few this week and maybe a few more next week.
