turtle food 4 gars?

Im planning to move my 2 gars to a pond, the pond is far from my home so i gonna adapt a automatic feeder with a no break (in case the energy goes, wich is very normal here in yucatan cause we are on tropical torments and huracans season).
The question is can i feed the gars with turtle food, and by the weekend feed the gars with chicken or hen heart?
Sometimes i use dry fish or live food like gupys or molys

Since water turtles are part of the freshwater ecosystem their diets are very compatible with that of many fish. High quality foods made for either are at least a good option for either.
