55 Gallon Tropical Community stocking question

I am starting a 55 gallon Tropical Community tank soon. I plan to do live plants, and have a great mentor for that. Basically I want to plan it all out so I don't screw up somewhere. The question I'm asking here is if the following fish community would be sustainable and healthy. Thanks


10 Zebra Danio---Danio rerio
5 Cherry Barb---Puntius titteya
3 Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish---Melanotaenia Praecox
3 Zebra Loach---Botia striata
6 Otocinclus Catfish---Otocinclus Affinis

Sounds good to me, I personally would also add a pair of angels or maybe a single Discus as your centerpiece fish, along with a few Dwarf Gourami

Understocked? Really.... I thought I was puching it, but I guess using the surface method I was beeing too careful. Thanks. about how much more room do I have? Enough for 4 Black Neons too? Or perhaps a larger school of Danios?

As to Gouramis and Angels, I'm inexperienced, and the possible aggressiveness of them makes me leary. Same reason I skipped the Rainbow Shark despite liking their look a lot. And Discus seem a bit less hardy than I'd like. We'll see. I guess I can always add a show fish later.... later being subjective since I expect about 6+ months before I have this tank stocked.

You could get about 15 more danio sized fish. And Discus should be kept in schools of no less then 4.

Fyi, the "Zebra Danio" are a combination of Zebra and Glofish for aesthetics

I thought a lot of people had Single Discus'? Your right though, I just looked it up, it actually said 6-8 is better. The angel's would still work though, wink wink.
