  1. Question compatible fish for betta?

    hi
well i have a 10 gal tank with assorted ornaments and fake and real plants. at the moment i have only 4 neon tetras.

I was wondering can i add a betta to this tank, or move the neons to another tank i have and put the betta in the 10 gal.

if i do this, wat are some easy,(preferably hardy) fish that would most likely get along with a betta?

Rasboras are a good choice for Bettas, as they don't bother the Betta's flowing fins. Harlequin Rasboras are ideal.

Some male Bettas don't like any company at all...so watch carefully for the first few hours.
Currently: Spotted Blue-eyes, two species of Australian shrimp, Ornate Rainbowfish, Guppies, Corydoras, goldfish.

be very careful and keep a close eye on the tank for a few hours after adding any fish in with the betta. I have found that opaline gouramis will attack a betta, and the betta I had attacked mollies, so you just never know what will work. I even tried a few zebra danios with that betta and he was killing them too.
10 gal tropical tank (mainly snails w/7 fish), 5 rats, 4 parakeets, 1 senegal parrot, 2 degus, 1 snake, 1 blue tongue skink, 3 mice, 1 rabbit, 1 ferret, 5 cats, 1 dog
