My tank has recently finished cycling and has fish in it, I noticed my tank to be a lilttle dirty so I decided to clean it a little, I syphoned the gravel and did a 25% water change but now my tank is super cloudy and it wont go away, its been 3 days now.......I dont wanna add chemicals because I was told it wont really help and someone said it would settle after a few days but it hasnt changed at all. I tryed to find help on a different forum but all I got was BS and no help what so ever, can someone here please help me??

Sounds like an algal/bacterial bloom, these can be caused from excess nutrition in the water. What are your water parameters like nitrates, nitrites, ammonia etc?
    My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

To tell you the truth I havent been able to get to the fish store and check but all my fish are fine and acting normal, but now that you said something I will go and check my water tomorrow. Could what you say be the problem and how do I fix it?

Cloudy water isn't always a bad thing so relax a bit and lets go through this.

First off you said you let the fish store check your water samples? Why not buy a kit so you can test your own water for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates?
It gets you results in minutes without going to the store.
Secondly, you say you have a tank with fish in it. How long has this tank been set-up, did you cycle it, and how long have the fish been in it?
Size of tank and filter system also help in bouncing ideas off each other.

Is the water colour green, brown, or greyish?
Do you have an air stone and air pump in that tank?

The members on this site will assist you as they do me so fire off the info and see where we go.

Its a 60 gallon tank with 2 air stones and a decorative bubbler, I have a aqueon water filter that does 250 gallons per hour, It went through the cycle process no problem already and had 3 fish and crabs in it from almost the beggining. Its been a month and a half since set up and now has 12 fish 2 crabs and 2 dwarf frogs the rest being added between a 2-3 week period, everything in my tank has been fine but when I cleaned my gravel is when my tank went cloudy, its a greenish brown kinda cloudy.

Greenish brown colour usually means algea. No biggie. Your lighting and amount of time you have it on? 8 hours of light is plenty. If your like me timers are the way to go.

+1. I recently found timers on sale at a hardware store and grabbed one for each of my tanks. The lights come on at 3pm and go off at 11pm. SO much less hassle. Really worth the few dollars.

So from me cleaning my gravel it kicked up algae? My tank is not in direct sunlight and the light is on maybe 8 hours a day sometimes. Like I said my fish are fine and acting totally normal but my tank looks horrible, do I need to be patient and just wait it out then or is there a way to get rid of it and have clear water again? Also thanks for all the help, it is appreciated!

If the tank smells musty it has too much nutrient in it and you could do water changes to dilute the nutrient which is most likely causing the cloud.

If it smells ammoniated you interupted your cycle. You need to use carbon or acquire some filter media that is seeded with bacters to eat the wastes.

If it smells like bleach you did not neutralize the chlorine correctly. This affects the bacters.

When you gravel vac do it in areas not the whole tank.

I recently went through this with my 3 week old tank. I purchased a mesh bag with activated carbon in it and put it in my mechanical filter. Also if your filter has an extra cartridge slot for more filtration I would purchase another cartridge. I did both of these and a 15% water change every other day and the water cleared up. It did take 2 changes and the additional filtration but it did clear up after 4 days.
