Lululemon - luv 'em or hate 'em?

A friend got me into this discussion.

She's a fan - says they're comfortable, good quality, attractive, trendy and worth the money!

I say they're over-priced, quality is questionable - I've seen 'butt-pilling' and 'thigh-pilling' on a lot of them. This is fine when you're actually wearing them in the gym...or at home...but the strangest thing is how many people wear them in public. I don't care how comfortable they are...gym clothes are gym clothes...(unless you're walking the dog, jogging, biking, etc....that's still exericise) you shouldn't be wearing them! So many nice, comfy casual and dress clothes out there! Why insist on sportswear?

And what I dislike the most? The 'cookie-cutter' turn-outs of huge numbers of women - most of whom should NOT be out in public with their bulges tightly wrapped in spandex! Yucky!

Thoughts? Good or bad all welcome!

I had never heard of them. So I googled them. Technically it is workout clothes. I wear mine only to the gym but have been known to stop off at store to pick up things.

A quick trip to the grocery store is fine too...

But a lot of women wear them out to dinner, to the movies, etc. That's the part I don't get. They might look nice, but they still look like gym clothes...

It's a phenomenon at the moment...and they're doing VERY well on the stock market...

p.s. I don't own any either...

I hate trendy, expensive stuff. Yuck. I'd rather go to a discount store like Ross, TJ Maxx or Marshals and find something thats cheap and fits me the way I like.

i'll wear anything as long as its baggy, baggy jeans and a baggy T shirt, cant stand the trendy stuff either

I'd never heard of them either until I started reading the threads here. But I know what you mean about women wearing something just because it's a trend and not what looks good on them.

well i must say i wear them all the time now, lol. And well so many people do now around here. I think they look good, on some people. I love em.

but, I'm 18 and other people who i know who wear them are around that age. I don't really like to see them on older people when their out, unless thier workin out or something. I'm not age-est its just how it is...
