    Every summer I shave my dogs hair off. His hair is normally about 3-4 inches long and he gets so hot (and we don't have ac in our house) so I feel bad for him. I think he would rather have to deal with getting it shaved then to be brushed once or twice a week, lol. He hates being brushed and having his nails cut. Also with shorter hair you don't notice the shedding anywhere near as much. When his hair is short I call him my little "bat dog" I have pics posted here so you can see the difference. The last pic shows you his "bat ears", lol.

    Yeah looks much more comfy. 2 of our cats are longhairs and we shave them in summer. Can't stand the thought of them in that long fur in 30 degrees +
