First, welcome to the forum! Second, your fry will come out as half of them pink and half of them black. Third, congrats on the eggs!

it depends on how dominant the black colouration is in the parents. my female pink one bred with my male striped one and they have had two lots of fry. all were stripey.

Pink/albino is a recessive trait, the fry will all be normal. If two of the offspring breed together some of the next generation will be pink. In any case they're still convicts, common as flies and about as valuable for trade. Best bet is to use most/all of the fry for feeders.

Two possibilities.
If your female is homozygous dominant (both chromosomes that carry this gene carry the wild type gene) then all the babies will be wild type but heterozygous. So if you crossed two of the offspring you would get some pinks.
If your female is heterozygous (one chromosome that carries the gene for this has a wild type gene and the other carries the pink (non-working wild type)) then half of this generation will be pink and half will be wild type.Owner: Aquarium Maintenance and Pet Care Company
