I Have Babies!!!!!!
my female crimson tide (Astatotilapia latifasciata) has been holding fry for a few weeks now, so i put her in a breeding trap and last night she let her babies out and i have about 30 little fry swimming around!!!!! they have eaten some crushed flake and seem to be in a good healthy state.
im so excited, the last lot she had she let go in the main tank and they got eaten, but this time we were lucky. just thought id share my news with everybody. im going to try and get some pics as soon as the camera has finished charging.

Congrats on the fry! I had to google what those fish looked like. Never heard of them until now. Amazing looking fish. Gotta get some pics of the fry if possible!

20gal tall: home to 10 brevis. Letting them pair off then will put the rest into the 55.

Congrats on the fry. I have a few Astatotilapia calliptera that have spawned several times, but no fry. The last time I saw the female eating normally a couple days later, so obviously she didn't hold the eggs very long.
