Hey!
Hi all--
Just found the forum yesterday and love it! I had a small (18gal) aquarium as a kid and have just now come back to the hobby, boy how things have changed; biowheels rule :) My new tank is a 30g fresh water with a emp 280 and a stealth 150 heater,a small air pump and various decor with a medium gravel. I'm just coming out of the cycling process(had ammonia spike, nitrite spike and nitrate, along with a small algae bloom), with all 5 of my rosy barbs happy and frisky at a temp of 78 and ph at 6.8. I think i may be entering another mini-cycle, as my ammonia levels have gone from 0 to .25 in the past few days(i was just about to add more critters, but now have to wait). I had a red algae bloom and did a pretty complete gravel vac/cleaning to remove it(which i didn't want to do until the cycle was completely done, but felt ridding the tank of the algae more important and i knew i had the bio wheel, so i wouldn't loose a huge amount of bio filter) so i was hoping the tank would take care of that. I'll wait another day or so, and pull 5 gal out if it doesn't. I'm really enjoying reading all the threads here, and getting caught up on what i've missed. We're refinishing a room in our house and i hope to get 90gal in it once it's done(prob in a year or so) Thanks for reading, hopefully i'll be able to start a fish pickin thread soon!

Welcome aboard Chris !!
As I get older I find myself thinking about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.
