PetSmart heads up!
I saw on the website the other day that they had the Rena xp2 for $79.00. Woo! So I went into the store, and it was $139! I was sad. Went home, looked at the page again, and saw that I wasn't imagining things, called the store and asked if they price matched the website. They do! I went back to the store and got the filter, AND a 50 Python system. The Python was $65 in the store, and only $38 on the website. They matched both.
AND the filter medium was cheaper too. So I got the 50 python, an xP2, an ammo zorb pouch, the biochem stars, and 2 Otos for $139.
So yeah. MUCH cheaper. I feel guilty for not shopping at my LFS, but man. THat's a lot of money without the difference.

Doh! Just checked my reciept, and i've also got a $20 rebate coming on the filter from the website as well.
So I really got the filter for $59.00, opposed to $139 in the store.

Interesting. I wonder what else is cheaper online. I'm going to have a look at that.

If I remember correctly, Petsmart will match ANY price, online or other stores (possibly not sale prices).

That should not be, I worked at Petsmart for a couple months and if I remember right it was Petsmart policy.

Wow. I shop their website all the time and didn't know of a difference since no stores are in this area. Good job. Price checking and asking does make a difference.

I used to be the same way. I worked there and gained a lot of respect for the company. I still wouldn't highly suggest it to anyone, but I have been able to pick out individuals with great results. And their guarantee helps ease any hesitation (14-day gurantee on livestock). Wednesday I bought 2 rubberlip plecos and 2 $20 angelicus botias. They are also the only place in the area I have found golden wonder killies.
