Blacklight?
is it ok to use a blacklight on a aquarium?

There's nothing stopping you, but be advised you will see every single little of speck of bits floating in your water, just as blacklight picks up dust in the air or on clothes.

it can work, but looks like crap, i tried it. you can see every piece of dust and its hard to see the fish

I am sure that constant UV exposure and not be good for anything animal. My LFS keeps there glo-fish under an actinic bulb and they look awesome.

i have some actinic bulbs on my 55 gallon tank. I just had an old aquarium light with a black light in it already, ima buy a actinic bulb for it. was just curious about the black light
