A lillte problem
Hi, well i got this 25 gallon tank a few days ago from a friend that she had in her garage for a while. My problem is the tank smell like gasoline and it very dusty, i know she didnt put any gasoline in it. but i just dont know how to clean it whats safe to take out the smell of gas and the dust. anyone have any ideas?

try washing it out and see if it still has the odor, it's probably in the dust.
As I get older I find myself thinking about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Yup, the dust is most likley retaining the scent of the garage and the gas, wash it out very well, with small tanks i put them in my shower and blast them with the showerhead make sure you get in all the cracks really well. If the tank still smells afterwards, you can bleach it and wash it again making sure you remove the bleach smell via the same method

I would suggest that if you chose to use bleach you rinse really well with water that has dechlorinator in it to make sure you remove any trace of bleach that might be left in the tank.
