Lady Problems....
Don't worry this is in an aquatic forum!
Well, does anyone have trouble getting only females/only males?
I always get females. During this hobby i've had about about 25 platy fry with only 2 males. I have 20 cherry barb fry, no males.
Also when i buy Danios. They all look like males in teh store then when they settled in and you can determine the sexes i always get lotsa females. Couple years ago i bought 3 zebra danios - 2 females. A while after i bought 7 zebra danios. All except one died due to ich and uncycled tank (nooby mistake) - i had atleast 5 out of 7 were females. More recently i have 4 kyathit, 1 zebra and 1 CPD. Out them i ended up with only 1 male kyathit.
Its kinda rediculous, but i suppose with females being generally more peaceful than males its a good thing!
50G Tank - Kyathit Danios, Zebra Danio, Swordtails, Silver Hatchetfish, Platy, Gold Barbs, Cherry Barbs, Bolivian Rams, Apisto, Zebra Loaches.
20G 'Nano Fish' Tank - Pygmy Rasboras, Lampeyes, Sparkling Gouramis, CPD, Bronze Corydoras, Cherry Shrimp
Wanted: More CPD's and Loaches.

I picked 10 young Angels and ended up with 8 males!
As I get older I find myself thinking about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

lol i bought 2 nannacara anomalas, which are quite a finsd around here and I think I ended up with only females.

I think most of my fish are females, I have a few guys that seem very happy.

maybe it has something to do with the breeders and what they decide goes to the stores?

15 months ago, I got 2 juvenile Red devils and 2 BPs, now they are mature and all of them are laying eggs
even 1 male between them could make a pair.80g Oscar Tank
