    It would help to know the size of the fish. Males have longer, more pointed dorsal and anal fins than females, but may not show them until they're old/large enough.

    its about 3.5- 4" i got him/her in march @ 1"

    Since you mentioned in the other thread it was arguing with a peacock I'd say most likely a male, and nearly big enough to spawn in either case at that size.
