Pool Filter Sand in Aquari
Okay I have decided on my 55g which I do not yet have that I want to try using pool filter sand, I have heard very good things about it. What I can't seem to find is what size. I heard that 10 to 20 mesh is good? What is yalls opinion on the size.

Grade 20 is what is used I think most commonly. Get the size that you like the most and go for it. I have pool filter sand in my 220 and love it.
8 tanks running now:
1x 220 gallon, 2x55 gallon, 1x40 gallon long, 1x29 gallon, 1x20 gallon long, 1x5.5 gallon, 1x2 gallon
Gouramis, barbs, rasboras, plecos, corys, tetras, fancy guppies, swordtails, ottos, rainbow shark, upside-down catfish, snails, and Max and Sparkles the bettas.

I haven't looked everywhere, but so far when I have looked I have found gray pool filter sand, I was hoping I could find a more natural color. Does anyone have a brand or something they could recommend. I must say you get some strange looks when you start asking employees what colors does the filter sand come in...
