Java moss
I recieved some java moss in the mail yesterday that was nice and green and packed in wet paper very well. When I took it out I seperated it by pulling on it and attached each piece with some sewing thread to a feller rock in each of my tanks the 29 and 55. I have noticed that the female betta in my 55 has been hanging around the moss this morning. How fast will it grow or take to attach to the stone + did I do the right thing by pulling the moss apart, it came apart fairly easy. Right now it just looks like my feller stones have a tupie on top of them.

you did it right. It should take about a month to attach to the rocks. Growth is dependent on light and nutrients available
As I get older I find myself thinking about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

What kind of light does Java Moss require? Can I get by with 40w on a 55G tank?

Question (and I don't mean to hijack):
How will Java moss (and other low-light plants like Anubias barteri var nana, for that matter) do in a tank with 4wpg lighting?
Are there any adverse effects (brown coloration, growth issues)?
