? about my Java Moss
My Java looks awesome. Growing like crazy and nice and dark green. It's been in my 55 gallon with 130 watts and I'd like to put it in my Firemouth tank but I only have my 2- 18 watt hood lights on that tank. Will this not be enough light for it? I don't want it to die.
I was hoping to have all moss covered rocks in my Firemouth tank.Cycling With Fish?•• The Fishless Cycle••

I read it grows faster with more light but doesn't get as green. Mine is lovely but I will move it now if you say it will work.

Hmm, cichlids + plants = LUNCH. Even if they don't eat it, they'll most likely rearrange it to death.

Thats pretty much the general consensus, in almost any light conditions it should still grow

Large cichlids will but smaller ones like to have plants. My Firemouths don't mess with it at all.

It is worth it to give it a try. Even if they eat it, you will have extras. I can't imagine moss being tasteful though.
