Long fishless cycle and now time for fish and plants, I need help.
8 1/2 weeks into my looooonnnnnng fishless cycle it is time for fish. I have some hornwort in the tank now and I plan on planting the tank some more but I read that some fish dig up plants but I'm not sure what fish dig up plants.
We are going to go get some fish tomorrow but we can't decide what fish to get. The wife and I have a 10g with a large piece of mopani wood and some free floating hornwort and plan on planting more asap.
I'm also going to plant this tank fairly well.
The stocking is planned for 1 oto, 8 neons and 2 small 2" mollies and/or platies (and maybe 2 tiny shrimp) but I heard one digs up plants. Could some one help on my stocking.
My tank is cycled and I was going to start with the mollies or platies with an oto then add the neon tetras in a couple weeks.

Congrats on the cycle, sorry to hear it took so long, but that happens sometimes.
As for the stocking, mollies are too big for a 10g so go with the platies. I'd also recomment dropping a few neons and getting more otos. Oto cats will be healthier when kept in groups since they're gregarious fish.
Other than that, sounds like a nice tank. Keep us posted on how things go.My AC Fish Gallery:
