  1. Default panting blue ram

I feel like I have a new question every day....

I noticed this morning that after eating a bloodworm breakfast, my blue ram is panting a little....he's swimming around...but he looks like his breathing is a little labored. The food got away from me and he ate more than normal today....could he just be overfull? My fish are usually fed flake and pellet food, but I fasted them yesterday and the bloodworms are a treat.

    Is this normal?

  2. #2

    Default

As long as he ate, he's probably fine.

  3. Default

    I hope so.....he's acting weird....

he's been hiding a bit and staying totally still rather than being active...he was chasing the other fish around earlier today...which he's never done before....he's still panting a bit, though not as much.....and he's darkened up (his black is showing and his yellow is looking a little dirty).

I'm concerned. Should I do a water change? My levels are all good...no ammonia or nitrite, and very low nitrates.....could it be there isn't enough oxygen in the water? All my other fish seem just fine.
