Thread: Snail eggs

    Default Snail eggs

Hey all, I have some snail eggs on my glass, from your common pesty snail, how long do they take to hatch? I hope they hatch soon, my platies are loving the eggs.

  2. Default

It depends on the watertemperature, they hatch in a time of 1-2 weeks, normally. You can see hoe the eggs develop, first they are completely transparent, just before hatching, you can see the baby snails in them.

Thanks, I hope my fish miss a few of them. I'd love to be able to watch that.

If you want to watch them developing, put some of the snails in a separate tank. It took mine a couple of days to lay eggs. There you can watch them...
A magnifying glass is very helpfull to watch the babys growing.
