Flag a post, without having to post?

Just wondering if there was a way to subscribe to a post, without having to post so you can select instant email notification..

Sometimes I don't have anything constructive to add to a thread, but would still like to see what others might have to say..

I think it works by clicking on the Thread Tools button (just above the top of the thread) once you are viewing it and then click on Subscribe to this Thread.

It's always easier when you know how LOL...to be honest, I struggled with this a number of times today until I clicked on Thread tools by chance and had my answer. And I'm sure it's that thing where you see things day in and day out, but just don't see them anymore as they fade into the background.
