What plants are these?
I found this online and am contemplating making a similar tank with perhaps a mountain picture for the background... Can you tell me what plant this is? As well, the "mountains" are driftwood, right?

I've just seen pictures of this tank aquascape or similar but can't remember where. I would venture to guess that the mountains are rocks, not driftwood as they appear rather grey, unless the driftwood was treated somehow.

the rock looks like granite to me and the tank is easily over 100 gallons.

those plants are HC the mountains are rocks, that is an awsome tank.HC is very difficult to grow low and dense like that.It requires high light[4-5wpg] and c02 injection. It will not grow like that with less.

Well I'm thinking that if I did it, it would be a nano. Something like this: http://www.aquatic-eden.com/2007/05/...ge-farmer.html . Maybe 5 gallons, easy to get high light and DIY Co2. Maybe I'll just keep an eye out for rocks that would work, if I can't find nice ones the whole idea won't work.

a 5 gallon tank is harder to get enough light into, as far as lumens are concerned, 20w on a 5g and 200w on a 50g are not equivalent.
-75g FW community, planted
-10g FW guppies, planted
-44g Terrarium, tree frog, various plants.

exactly how do you come upon that info?Ive never heard that one before.Light of a certain type shines as brightly whether it sits over a 5 gal or a 50 gal, discounting for water depth of course. If anything, 20 watts on a shallow depth 5 gal would be more efficient then 200watts on a deep 50gal.
