Fancy Goldfish
Quick question about stocking a 75 gallon tank. How many fancy goldfish would be a comfortable amount with some smaller fish tankmates and how many would with just goldfish. Assuming proper cleaning, water conditions etc??

I have 4 goldfish and 3 Dojos in my goldfish tank...
I won't be adding any more...
I think you could get 4-6 fancies...and maybe a couple of others, but there are not many fish that 'go' with goldies...55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos
25 g Tropical Tank - Celestial Pearl Danio/Mixed

I'd say 5 or 6 fancies also. As for tankmates you might want to leave it all goldies... Goldies are kept around 60-70 so it limits what else can go in the tank... Good luck...
75 Gallon South Cichlid: Tiger Oscar and Jack Dempsey
55 Gallon GT Tank: 1 Male GT and 8 Giant Danio
20 Gallon Long: Waiting for eco-complete planted red substrate that has been delayed 2 weeks due to weather.

How do you keep the water so cool?

No heater and keep the room the tank is in at about that temperature.

you need 10gallons of water per goldfish as a general rule, so we will say a little more than that. So Id say 5 or 6. 7 might be pushing it. :) keep that tank nice and cold and super clean. you may want to run double the suggested filtration because goldies are sorta dirty fellows. :)
