  1. Default Zebra danio~ breeding info

    I am wanting to know if anyone can tell by the pic if i have a female. I have 3 of them and I am suspected that one is female. It looks rounder than the other two. Thanks for the help.

    I cant tell to blurry. If you can, take one from the side that would be best.

    Here's the info you need to sex them yourself. :) The males will have a blueish background to their stripes and the females will be more golden in color.

    Breeding is very easy. Prepare a batch of newly hatched brineshrimp and feed the desired pair 3-4 times in one day. Usually around dawn the next day they will spawn. Feed the fry on LiquiFry and Infusoria until they are free swimming. Then feed daily with Newly Hatched Brine Shrimp and as they get bigger move them to larger foods.

    thanks for the great photo I think I do have a female~ I took more pics but they are still fuzzy. You can see the swell in a few of them though...
