Cold Water Tank.
When my cherry barb fry grow up and 'move out'. The tank has to go if i want a gecko in my 15g. I know i'd be aloud to keep it if i got rid of the heater but that really depends. So i have a few questions.
Will Java moss grow well without a heater?
What Fish can live well in coldwater? (Bare in mind this tank is 6gallons)
Is there any Shrimp that can live in Coldwater?

Yup white cloud mountain minnows can tolerate 40 F. I have five that live in 78F. And they do just fine just make temp stable and very hardy so they can tolerate the ranges of temp.
For 15 gallons i would only get about 7 they get about 2 inches big.
remeber dont add a female if you want tons of mountain minnows. I have 4 males and one female and it really helps with the activity of the males. They are constantly trying to show off to the female!Alex

thanks, its a 6g. I think i should start off with like 5 and see how it goes. I expect i probably will get babies with the amount of java moss i have, so i'll just feed them to my other fishes or something.

In large quantities, and in a heated tank, ghost shrimp actually frenzy, and kill eachother, or so I've heard. Ghost shrimp would do well in a 6 gallon.
