What is up with shipping my packages?
Man this sucks. I ordered the lighting a week and a half ago. It was in transit for 4 days somehow just to make it from Texas to Chicago. Now it shouldn't be but 1 or 2 days from Chicago to get to my house but so far it's been sitting in Chicago for 2 days now.
WTH?
This is UPS too. I ordered stuff from non ebay members like BigAl's and it takes 3 or 4 days to ship from NY.... Whats up with the lighting taking so long? Is it because it's bigger?
I ordered a regulator for my CO2 system about 3 days after the lighting and it was shipped via USPS and already left Chicago and will probably be here tomorrow.
And i haven't even heard about my CO2 cylinder being shipped yet even though i bought it almost 4 days ago. I guess i have to email the guy to see if he has a tracking number or something.
O and another thing. My extra gravel i ordered made it into town at 7:55 Saturday morning but i guess that was too late to get it on the truck to be delivered so i had to wait till Monday.

Yeah big Al's is great with their UPS ground. The only thing is that it must be express or something because why would my lighting via UPS just be sitting in a warehouse for days doing nothing...

I'm not a fan of UPS ground. I had two packages sent to me within the last two weeks or so. One by U.S Priority Mail (came from California) , or whatever its called, and the other by UPS Ground (came from Florida). I'm pretty sure Florida is closer to Indiana then California is. Priority mail got to me sooner then I expected. UPS Ground took way longer then expected, too much sitting at the shipping centers.

There has to be some sort of express UPS ground that places like Big Al's use since those packages get here really fast while my other ones just sit and sit and travel for 4 days somehow...

Maybe they just know your address and don't like you, so they slow it down? I doubt it, but it is kind of funny to think that way.

Funny you should say that. The lighting required a confirmed address(need your checking statements mailed there) Since i've lived on my own for the last 3-4 years i've received electronic statements so my address wasn't confirmed. I had to ship it to my parents address which is just a big hassle in itself.

Call UPS, give them the tracking# and ask for an explanation of why it's been setting for 2 days
As I get older I find myself thinking about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Dont get me started on that crap. lol I was waiting for something in the mail and it sat in our LOCAL UPS processing center for 3 friggin days! I called them to find out if I could just drive over and pick it up, and they were like "No, b/c it hasn't been scanned through yet" I was soooo mad. It ended up coming 2 days later. So that was 5 days sitting within short driving distance from my house. I hate UPS lately. Especially their ridiculous shipping prices. I have been using nothing but USPS for the past 3 months and havent had any problems.
