I think it might be a calcium problem as they have turned on the empty shells in the tank (assuming it's them) and eating it.

Do you have salt in your tank? Salt will decompose the shells on snails, and eventually they will dissolve to nothing.

    I have never introduced salt.

There are so many snails I think they are missing something from their diet.

For tank mates check out my 20g tall in my sig.

I'm fairly certain now it's a calcium problem.

I wanted to add it is Seachem "Reef Calcium", a blue labeled white bottle.

They also had the Kents calcium which i just saw msjinxd suggested in another thread. would there be any reason either is better or would damage my tankmates?
