My GF has gone light and plant crazy
After seeing the dramatic improvement made with the lighting on the 55 gal my girlfriend wants to start up another 55 gal tank and heavily plant it. She has been taking shoots off of the plants in my 55 and putting them in her 25 gal community. When we were shopping for the lights she spotted a good deal on a 55 gal with a beautiful stand. We just don't have anymore space until the basement gets finished this summer and the fishroom built. She has always been supportive of this addicting hobby but she has caught MTS and now I'm afraid lol.

Amazing, the only way I could get a second tank, was by setting up the first one in my son's room... Right on schedule, my wife tells me that I have to set one up in my daughters room so she won't be jealous.
I'll be one of the first to visit "Sailor's Fish and Plant emporium" when it opens.
* Sure the grass is greener on the other side, but that's only because the neighbor has grass.

It is nice when the other member(s) of the household catch on. I started with a 10 and upgraded to a 75 when I first started. I managed to keep the 10 going and I put something in there that would require me to get a larger tank eventually. She liked the 46 bowfront but I managed a 60 regular for cheaper. It just snowballed from there.

My gf likes fish but Im having a hard time convincing her that I need more tanks. Probibly because of the way I told her. I said, "Ok I have a plan for a future tank setup, Instead of having a bunch of medium to small sized tanks all around I will "downsize" and Get one big tank the 240g.... And then I will probibly keep the 55g for a quarintine tank.... and WE could keep the 75g and put whatever fish in it you want to!!"
Sounded like a good idea to me but she said WAIT A MINUTE!! You just said you were going to have one big tank and you just listed 3 tanks.
Then I said well We will need a quarintine tank and I said you could put whatever fish you want in the 75g and Ill even take care of the tank.( I think I can convince her).75g:
5 small clown loaches
Blue acara
satanoperca leucosticta (earth eater)
