Natural Light Instead Of Bulbs
Do you think I would get an algae break out if I left the tank lights off and used natural light during the day?

Try it for a few days.About 25% of the light my tank gets comes from the morning sun through a window.Try it for a few days, the worse that happens is you get a bit of algae,in that case just do some scraping and dont do it again.

i did have a friend who only had their planted tank run of natural light and there was no algae and the plants thrived though.
