Stupid but important question
My crowntail betta has a yellowy white thingy dangleing from the body right after his pectoral fins (the flowy fins they hide against their side when they aren't flaring out). Is this a parasite or is it excrement? I'm kind of a worry wart.

sounds like a parasite, use meds, if its long enough pull it out with tweezers and add melafix/pimafix

to get rid of the parasite, add aquarium salt and get the temp to 80f
parasites also cant stand copper based medications
