    Default Heater on all the time

    Last night I notice the heater was on all the time while the tank temperature out of range 82°F+ :(
    I crank down temperature setting on the heater and still not work, so I get one of those outlet timer I have laying around, and set it on and off every 15 minutes over night, all morning I have it off and keep the light on. So far temperature staying at 78°F, in couple of hour I will go grab a new heater.

    So far I have bad luck with this use aquarium which I purchase 2 weeks ago. First filter making noise now heater :(

    Visitherm Stealth heaters are highly recommended.
    8 tanks running now:
    1x 220 gallon, 2x55 gallon, 1x40 gallon long, 1x29 gallon, 1x20 gallon long, 1x5.5 gallon, 1x2 gallon
    Gouramis, barbs, rasboras, plecos, corys, tetras, fancy guppies, swordtails, ottos, rainbow shark, upside-down catfish, snails, and Max and Sparkles the bettas.

    I think it sounds like a good idea to go get a new heater Angus, don't want to risk it cooking the fish!

    I would definetely get a new heater... Visitherm stealths and deluxes are really great heaters...

    Yes it sounds like a new heater is needed. What size tank is it in?
    I have 2 heaters in all my tanks over 55 gallons, incase I loose one.

    It is 20 gal tank. Going to LFS soon to get new one. Thanks for suggestion everyone.
